Full text (user-supplied PDF). Measured Tertiary section (Khorwari Nala, eastern flank of the Surjan Anticline, Thano Bula Khan, District Jamshoro, Sindh) — six formations: Laki (L.Eocene), Tiyon (M.Eocene), Nari (Oligocene), Gaj (Miocene), Manchar (U.Miocene) and Dada Conglomerate (Pleistocene). Gaj and Dada reported for the first time from the Khorwari section. Used for economic-importance/occurrence notes on these Sindh Tertiary units; also flags the Middle-Eocene 'Tiyon Formation' (a Kirthar-equivalent) as absent from the dataset.
This page is the reverse of each unit's per-field citations — it shows exactly what this reference supports, making the dataset's “no source, no fact” rule browsable both ways.

-
- Age: Brohi et al. (2009): the Dada Conglomerate (Pleistocene) is reported for the first time from the Khorwari section of the Surjan Anticline (Thano Bula Khan, Sindh), forming the top of the local Tertiary–Quaternary succession. Corroborates the Pleistocene age.
-
- Geological significance: Brohi et al. (2009): the Miocene Gaj Formation is reported for the first time from the Khorwari section of the Surjan Anticline (Thano Bula Khan, Jamshoro) — mixed clastic/non-clastic shallow-marine to non-marine shale, clay, sandstone and limestone; part of the Eocene–Pleistocene Surjan Tertiary succession studied for economic (dimension-stone, mineral and hydrogeological) potential.
-
- Geological significance: Brohi et al. (2009): at the Surjan Anticline the Lower Eocene Laki Formation is the oldest exposed unit of the measured Khorwari section and is overlain by the Middle Eocene 'Tiyon Formation' — a Kirthar-equivalent Middle-Eocene unit that is NOT yet in this dataset (flag: consider adding/reconciling with the Kirthar Formation in Sindh usage).
-
- Age: Brohi et al. (2009): the Manchar Formation (Upper Miocene; book/paper spelling 'Manchar') caps the marine Tertiary section on the Surjan Anticline (Thano Bula Khan), overlying the Gaj Formation and underlying the Pleistocene Dada Conglomerate. Consistent with the curated Mio–Pliocene age.
-
- Age: Brohi et al. (2009): the Oligocene Nari Formation is part of the measured Khorwari/Surjan Anticline Tertiary succession (Laki → Tiyon → Nari → Gaj → Manchar → Dada), studied for economic potential. Corroborates the Oligocene age.
