SHRIMP/LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb dating of the Mansehra Granitic Complex, Hazara: Ordovician crystallization ages ~478 Ma (Mansehra Granite), ~475 Ma (leucogranites), ~466 Ma (Hakale Granite); intrudes the Neoproterozoic-Cambrian Tanawal Fm; Andean-type Cambro-Ordovician orogenesis. Supersedes the older Rb-Sr ~516 Ma estimate. Verified via web-search bibliographic metadata; publisher host (Springer) sits behind the org egress policy so the page could not be directly fetched.
This page is the reverse of each unit's per-field citations — it shows exactly what this reference supports, making the dataset's “no source, no fact” rule browsable both ways.

- AgeGeological significance
- Age: Updated from the older Early Cambrian Rb-Sr whole-rock estimate (~516 Ma) to Early-Middle Ordovician crystallization ages (~478 Ma Mansehra, ~475 Ma leucogranites, ~466 Ma Hakale) from modern SHRIMP and LA-ICP-MS U-Pb zircon dating (Naeem et al. 2016). Era remains Paleozoic.
- Age: LA-ICP-MS U-Pb zircon chronometry confirms an early-Palaeozoic (Cambro-Ordovician), Andean-type crystallization for the Mansehra Granitic Complex, consistent with the ~478-466 Ma assignment (Naeem et al. 2016).
