Measured and closely sampled (97 samples) biostratigraphy of the Kohat Formation at Shekhan Nala. Larger benthic foraminifera (Nummulites mamillatus/atacicus/globulus/subirregularis, Assilina exponens/granulosa/spinosa/dandotica, Operculina, Discocyclina, Dictyoconoides, Alveolina) confirm an early Middle Eocene (Lutetian) age. Three members — Kaladhand Limestone, Sadkal Shale (a foraminiferal biolithite) and Habib Rahi Limestone (karstified top). Shallow-marine inner-neritic carbonate bank; terminal Eocene marine phase capped unconformably by the Murree Formation.
This page is the reverse of each unit's per-field citations — it shows exactly what this reference supports, making the dataset's “no source, no fact” rule browsable both ways.
