Main Mantle Thrust & Jijal Complex

At Jijal in the Indus valley the Main Mantle Thrust (the India–Kohistan suture) is spectacularly exposed, and the Jijal Complex reveals the high-pressure garnet-granulite and ultramafic root of the Kohistan island arc — a natural cross-section through the base of an intra-oceanic arc.
