Foraminifera · Paleocene – Eocene

Flat, coin-shaped larger foraminifera closely related to Nummulites, with a loosely-coiled, often ribbed test. They lived on warm Eocene carbonate shelves and, alongside Nummulites and Alveolina, help zone the early Paleogene.
