Zaluch Nala — Permian–Triassic boundary section

Salt Range · also Chhidru–Mianwali boundary section · Nammal–Zaluch section

The western Salt Range holds one of the world's most complete shallow-marine Permian–Triassic boundary successions, where the fossil-rich Late Permian Chhidru Formation passes up into the Early Triassic Mianwali Formation across the end-Permian mass-extinction interval — a section studied internationally for the greatest biotic crisis in Earth history.
