Synonyms
Allozai Formation

A Jurassic group of the western Sulaiman / Balochistan transition comprising (in descending order) the Loralai Formation and the Spingwar Formation. Both were originally members of the Shirinab Formation (Williams, 1959; Fatmi, 1977); they were elevated to formation rank and grouped as the Alozai Group by Fatmi et al. (1990), as mapped by USGS OFR 94-689 (Maldonado, Khan & Mengal, 1994) and adopted by Shah (2009). Kadri (1995) still lists them as Shirinab members.

Band colour = period; texture = dominant rock type. Lines between bands mark the contact type. True scale makes height ∝ recorded thickness; hatched = thickness not recorded. Ages approximate, for ordering.

This unit (highlighted) within its province column; faded ends continue above and below. Line style marks the contact type.
